* Fender American Stratocaster 79-82 heavy ash body + American Vintage Reissue 70s 2011 scalloped neck (building the project for myself)

 This will be a good one, as only the body weighs 3.1 kg (6lbs 13oz), and currently with only the neck, tuners, a pickguard(not the one in the pics) and the jackplate...it's at 3.9 kg (8lbs 9oz), and this without the future pickups, internals, and the Callaham bridge I plan to put on.
I bought the neck ''as is'' . It was scalloped in France by a luthier and then re-lacquered (a really nice pro job).

I estimate a final 4.4 kg (9lbs 11 oz) beast 🤘

 

 

Yamaha BB200 setup

* The owner didn't want any extended work, but wanted a DAEB tuning, so I used a 5 string set for this one, and adjusted the nut slots to accomodate the thicker gauge.
Plays great with a low action.
