Started diagnostics on a Marshall JVM410H

* Started diagnostics on a Marshall JVM410H
This model unfortunately is notorious for that crackle/intermittence that appears in use
...it's gonna take a while , I see a lot of cold/off looking solder joints as if the parts were corroded and the solder didn't adhere to them properly...also some lifted parts were stock and noticed by the owner. Have to measure everything and whatnot...this is gonna take a while.(already found one tube that is faulty but that wasn't the issue,but I do suspect something else, just waiting for some parts)
Pending...
Thanks Marshall!! 😂

Peavey Classic 30 work

* Finished working on a Peavey Classic 30
Recapped the lytic caps, as it was horribly worked before with radial instead of axial caps, some weird additions with an off-board cap and whatnot...most caps were out of spec, and there was a lot of tarnish in the jacks and speaker connectors. Redid a lot of solder joints and corrected some lifted tracks as well. I do suspect this will come back though as this might have some intermittence issues, which is from that crappy design of those 3 boards being interconnected with solid core wire (it breaks easily from shock and can actually be broken and not seen , touching/not touching on the fracture).

Some soundcloud samples I made for fun:

Gretsch Electromatic tinkering

* Did some fretwork and polishing along with a full setup on a Gretsch Electromatic
Also replaced the bridge with a roller one since the previous wood base was cracked and it made more sense for the bigsby and tuning stability since I had to buy another base anyway and the prices were similar with or without the roller variant.
Action is very low but possible because of the 11-52 gauge. The input jack also fell in and I reinstalled it, and I've also added a missing plastic washer on the trem.
It's great now

An ENGL Screamer 50 came in for some work

* An ENGL Screamer 50 came in for some work
One pre tube was extremely leaky on both triodes and another had low emisions. Also redid some dodgy looking solder spots on the power tubes + backed off the bias a bit(it was a little too hot with the current tubes). It was also missing a knob on the backside and I added one.
Before and after videos+ a different solo setting (you can hear how splattery gainy and undefined/all over the place it was before and how tight it was after)
