Randall RG1503 Combo repair

* Randall RG1503 Combo repair

- had peculiar oscillations which were solved by rerouting the internal wiring a bit
- redone a lot of solder points, I see it was previously tinkered with, so I corrected some spots
- swapped the master volume pot because it was bent in a way that caused issues and interruptions
- the first IC was replaced with one BurrBrown 2604 variant as it sounded better to me overall with it (tried others as well; also I don't understand why they chose 4558DD(!!) for all the stages as it has way too much gain but whatever)
- replaced the deep boost dpdt pcb switch as it didn't work at all, and didn't latch 95% of the time
- also tightened the speakers and grille, they were quite loose

Very decent sounds from this SS amp

Regal Classic classical guitar repair (old Harmony rebranded model sold by Fender back in the 60s)

* An old Regal Classic classical guitar came in with a destroyed bridge and some nasty fretwire as well.

I bought a new bridge and I shaped it like the old one and also sanded it do be smoother + treated it with a 3 compound wood wax, and it came out great.
Reglued it with Titebond Liquid Hide, clamped it as best as I could (the top of the guitar was a little wavy and not flat as needed but the contact surface was enough).
A setup followed, with some nut adjustments and fretwire sanding and polishing, some leveling at the last frets with a correct falloff for a lower action within limits of buzzing out.

Plays great now with a much lower action. Some after and before pics below

Marshall JVM410H (follow up) -> now repaired

* The Marshall JVM410H I presented in another post is now fixed. Had some relay intermittence issues in the end, which were somewhat difficult to pinpoint. Cool sounding amp!

ESI Monitor repair

* Fixed some solder joints in an ESI Monitor

Empress Effects Multidrive (cleanup)

* Cleaned up an Empress Effects Multidrive. Had some intermittence issues, which from my stress tests, didn't turn up anything pcb part related. It remains to be seen. For the moment, good contact spray did the trick for the momentary switches and jacks.
