Ibanez RG570 MIJ Tinkering

Working on an RG570 Japan Ibanez that I bought as parts:

-refretted it nicely and slimmed the fretboard sides a bit + rounded the wood
-did a custom wood trussrod cover and also did the control cavity and jack in plates as well (added copper foil to the undersides)
-added a Schaller floyd and so I dremelled the cavity a bit but found a similar paint and it’s like it was never touched heh
-swapped the magnets between the Japanese Ibanez V7 and V8 pickups (the alnico from the bridge one is now on the neck, and the ceramic from the neck is now on the bridge) -> much better sound, BUT I swapped in the end to DiMarzio Gravity Storm, totally different ballgame, and also did a rewiring with a different schematic

                                       

Something different - mom’s TV repair :))

 A little different “repair” this time.

My mom’s smart TV all of a sudden got some horrible vertical block lines. 

I figured out that it must be the TCON board, so I ordered one from Aliexpress🤣 just to try, what to lose right?

Happy to say that the TV works again.☺️

Ibanez TSA30H head tinkering

-changed the lytic caps

-new Hammond Output Transformer

-pre(good ones), and power tubes(6P3S-E Russian)

-general checkup and measurements

Sounds great and powerful now with the new OT(moved to the other side for less hum being further away from the PT).

The old OT was crap and undersized IMO, “spat”/choked at high volumes. It ultimately died and the amp had a low volume with useless tone.

NuTube boost/drive Pedal PCB project (147th pedal built)

 Was curious about the NuTube and so I did a boost/drive pedal. Interesting sound that has something specific.
