HGE Contraptions Relay Bypass Pedal (162nd pedal built)

 Just finished a Relay Bypass pedal for my Ceriatone Chupacabra 50 effects loop.

Very simple design, but efficient.

Fixed a deluxe bass Big Muff pedal

 Fixed a deluxe bass Big Muff belonging to a friend of a friend (he sent me some pedals to test for fun and he included this faulty unit). Works now.

Mods for my Yamaha HS-8 Monitors

 Swapped the NJM4558 IC-s in every monitor with OPA1602 IC-s and also removed the limiter circuit.

Now, they don't push exaggerated mids that much, and are a little flatter. A little better for accurate mixing and monitoring.

HGE Contraptions 2nd Resistive Attenuator Build (161st "pedal" built)

 Yesterday I've finished the second attenuator clone of my first clone 🤣 (SPL Reducer).

Absolutely useful, even if only resistive, and didn't have to pay 800+ euro for the originals new 🫠😱

Now I can have my stereo setup with an attenuator per amp/w. two cabs each.

Excellent sounding pedal, here is a video take with this pedal on/off randomly, on a Crate Blue Voodoo 120 modded head, but in a lower gain setting of the amp, using my two Fender Stratocaster Custom HGE Build Projects,          first one from the start, and second one (at 9 min mark):

Specs:

• Original OPA2134 IC;
• Gorva Mechano soft actuating 3PDT True Bypass;
• Lumberg Japan Jacks and DC plug;
• Metal film quality resistors, caps are Nichicon lytics and various other good caps;
• Silver plated single core red telfon coated copper wiring;
• Quality Kester Eutectic 63/37 solder with good and aesthetically pleasing soldering;
• The two switches give a variety of diode combinations, subtle in part but can be combined in 4 ways;

Sounds awesome and works well. Handles about 200W max.

Will build a second identical one for my stereo setup.

Sounds great and features the following:

-true bypass with a Gorva Mechano softer actuating feel footswitch

-has an additional buffer at the input when on

-teflon coated silver plated copper wiring

-MKT, styroflex type,Wima & Nichicon capacitors

-requires MAX(!) only 9V as this has a voltage doubler inside (from 9V you get about 17~18V inside)
