I bought a new bridge and I shaped it like the old one and also sanded it do be smoother + treated it with a 3 compound wood wax, and it came out great.
Reglued it with Titebond Liquid Hide, clamped it as best as I could (the top of the guitar was a little wavy and not flat as needed but the contact surface was enough).
A setup followed, with some nut adjustments and fretwire sanding and polishing, some leveling at the last frets with a correct falloff for a lower action within limits of buzzing out.
Plays great now with a much lower action. Some after and before pics below
